LaFargue Financial Group takes pride in providing our clients with the LaFargue Financial Group Experience by:
As the president and founder of LaFargue Financial Group, Richard LaFargue is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.
Richard entered the financial industry in 1990 as an agent with The Equitable after working in a family-owned farming business. He felt limited in what he could accomplish in the farming industry and wanted more for his wife and children. It was in this desire for a better future that he found his passion for helping others accomplish their goals and financial dreams for the future. After his time at The Equitable, he became an independent fiduciary advisor in 1998 and started his own firm, LaFargue Financial Group, in 2002.
Richard believes that no one knows what is best for you better than you. That’s why he’s made it his goal to truly listen and understand what his clients want to accomplish and then thoroughly inform them on the options available before implementing a complete financial strategy.
Richard holds his insurance licenses in the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma. He has earned his Series 7, 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is also a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology from the University of Arkansas.
Richard played for the Arkansas Razorback football team from 1972-1975. The 1976 Cotton Bowl victory over Georgia was his final Razorback game. He was named All-SWC and honorable mention All American following his senior season. He went on to be drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Along with sports, Richard also enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors with his family. Richard and his wife, Jane, live in Northwest Arkansas. They have two grown children and six grandchildren. Their daughter, Kori, lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and is the owner of Peacocks and Peonies. Their son, Derek, lives in Springdale and is the president of Metro Insurance Inc., an independent insurance agency.
With family and faith as the foundations of his practice, Richard is dedicated to serving his clients with honesty and integrity.
Cyndi Najar has served as Richard’s right hand and director of operations since 2013. She is typically the main point of contact for all customer service questions, applications and paperwork.
Cyndi has master’s degrees in education and organizational and human resource development, with a minor in conflict resolution/mediation. Before moving to Arkansas, Cyndi taught high school self-contained special education in Texas.
